Women’s Health
We are able to provide help and advice for a wide range of women’s health conditions, as well as prescriptions and referrals to gynaecologists where appropriate.
We can support patients with common conditions such as:
- Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS)
- Painful or heavy periods
- Endometriosis
- Urinary tract infections
- Vaginal infections (e.g. bacterial vaginosis, thrush)
- Sexually transmitted infection (STI) screening
- Irregular or absent periods or seeking a delay in period.
We also offer advice regarding newer contraceptive pill options, including those containing “natural” oestrogen.
Please note that prescribing the combined oral contraceptive pill requires an up-to-date blood pressure measurement and a current BMI. Blood pressure may be checked either at home using a validated monitor, in a pharmacy, or by your GP surgery. These results can be uploaded as part of your assessment.
